The Leumeah Hotel has relaunched, serving up a completely new look and a refreshed menu after 50 years of operation.

The redevelopment has transformed the venue into a contemporary pub, divided into bistro, public bar, VIP Lounge, sports bar and all-weather outdoor spaces. Linking the zones together are textural design finishes using a variety of materials including timber and brick, all offset against natural hues to provide a warm environment.

Copper tanks filled with unpasteurised Carlton Draught beer are featured in the public bar area, offering both visual impact and something for beer ‘purists’ — unpasteurised beer is served super fresh, just as the brewer intended.

Lead by head chef Timir Patel, the bistro team will bring a contemporary edge to traditional pub favourites.

Highlights include the Asador steak burger with ciabatta bread, lettuce, grilled capsicum, mozzarella and chimichurri and the crumbed lamb cutlets with green bean, halloumi, watermelon and balsamic salad. Lighter dishes are also on offer including pulled pork sliders with Asian slaw and chilli jam and a range of fresh salads.

The bar menu will also feature quick bites such as Chiko rolls, Prego steak sandwiches and classic chicken schnitzels.

“We think the new venue will appeal to the Leumeah and broader community for its quality facilities in which to enjoy great social and entertainment experiences,” says licensee and Leumeah local John McGurk. “The redevelopment is all about bringing a refreshed hospitality experience to Leumeah and surrounding communities which will be delivered by passionate staff in conjunction with some pretty amazing new facilities. Put simply, we want to bring the best entertainment, food, beverage and hospitality experience to the local community.”
