Iconic Sydney restaurant Icebergs Dining Room and Bar will host its last service on 8 May.

The Bondi fine diner is set to close over winter for an extensive renovation spearheaded by Lazzarini Pickering, a Roman-based architect.

“We are excited to be celebrating our 20th year … and wanted to say a huge thank you for all your love, support, conversations and experiences shared at our iconic venue,” reads a statement posted on Instagram.

“As we look forward to the next 20 years, this will be our final week of service before we close the doors to upgrade our beloved dining room and bar.”

Good Food reports produce will be front and centre of the new design, which will see troughs of seafood on display alongside a brand-new terrace, dining room and interior elements that will evolve with the seasons.

Icebergs will reopen in September “for more food times and to share our passion for what we do best, creating memorable experiences with you all”.

2022 is gearing up to be a busy year for Icebergs Restaurateur Maurice Terzini, who recently opened Belongil in Byron Bay and is currently working on launching Cucina Povera in Melbourne and redeveloping mega venue Jacksons on George in Sydney.
