Melbourne’s Huxtaburger will become a franchise operation. The American-style burger joint currently has five locations: Hawthorn, Melbourne CBD, Eastland and Prahran, Collingwood.

“We can’t wait to take our burgers to more Melburnians,” said Huxtaburger general manager Matt Fickling.

“The casual dining space is booming and the demand for more premium options is stronger than ever. As a relevant and recognisable brand that’s backed by awesome food credentials, Huxtaburger offers a robust business model with a solid strategy for growth and national expansion over the next five years.”

DC Strategy, Australasia’s leading franchise developer, will execute the transition.

“We’re excited to be working with such a motivated management team. The Huxtaburger brand and culture is a key part of its success and a legacy that will continue to grow,” said Rod Young, founder and chairman of DC Strategy.
