Taste of Sydney will take place from 10 to 13 March, and a number of popular dining venues will be getting involved this year.

Hosted at the Brazilian Fields in Centennial Parklands, Taste of Sydney is an annual food festival which showcases the city’s foodservice offering, hosting restaurant stalls, masterclasses, and cooking demonstrations.

This year, participating restaurants include Thievery, MoVida, Biota Dining and Sake Restaurant & Bar.

Taste of Sydney will also include the South African Garden, where South African chef, David Higgs and South African MasterChef judge and chef of Tsogo Sun Hotel, Benny Masekwameng, will share their industry knowledge and prepare the signature dishes. The South African Garden will also showcase local flavours from five star South African restaurants served up on the Braai (a traditional South African barbeque).

The Electrolux Chef’s Secrets area will offer intimate masterclasses, allowing visitors to cook alongside chefs and prepare one of their signature dishes, before sitting down at a communal table to enjoy the meal with matched wines.

Finally, the Electrolux Taste Theatre will feature live cooking demonstrations by some of Sydney’s leading chefs. Guest chefs at the Lurpak-Go Freestyle sessions will demonstrate how to match flavours with Lurpak in a series of 15 minute masterclasses, and at The Wine Society, visitors can learn about the latest trends in food, and take part in masterclasses and premium wine tastings.
