Good Beer Week will return to Melbourne from 10 to 19 May, with a diverse range of events around the city and Victoria.

Queen Victoria Market’s A Fresh Hop Experience! on Monday 13 May will offer guests a multi-course meal among the sheds, with all dishes produced in collaboration with some of the market’s food providers. Each course will be paired with Brick Lane Beers, including a limited release fresh-hop beer brewed in partnership with Ellerslie Hop Estate.

On Tuesday 14 May, East Elevation and Blackhearts & Sparrows will host a Seasonal Beer and Wine Feast, pairing an autumnal three-course meal with sour mixed-fermentation beer from Wildflower, Molly Rose Brewing and Dollar Bill Brewing. There will also be Blackhearts’ grafted-series collaboration wines from Boomtown and One Block, as well as fortified wine from Pennyweight Winery. The event will be hosted by James Smith from The Crafty Pint, with informative and entertaining chats about the beers and wines.

Also on Tuesday 14 May are Dinner at the Diner and Stone & Wood Vegetarian Degustation. Dinner at the Diner will see the European host Bentspoke upstairs at Recoleta, with BentSpoke’s head brewer, the European’s head chef and Recoleta’s butcher team up to offer drinks on the terrace before a four-course meal. Henry Sugar will provide for vegetarian attendees at the Stone & Wood Vegetarian Degustation hosted by head brewer Caolan Vaughan. This collaboration will see innovative and unique plant-based dishes paired with a range of limited releases from the Byron Bay brewers. Try beers never seen outside their taphouse alongside dishes that incorporate fresh brewing ingredients to truly reflect the brewing process and shared flavour profiles.

Budget friendly options include Revolver Upstairs’ Beer and Noodle Night Market on Friday 17 May. At the event, Colonel Tan’s Thai Kitchen and Moon Dog Brewery will present their collaborative beer ‘Tan’s On Tap’. Guests can enjoy an affordable, specialty menu designed exclusively for the night, before exploring the local artisan stalls and the Revs’ store.

Bad Shepherd Brewing Co. will host three different beers and vegan food experiences. On Sunday 19 May, diners can opt for the Eat Drink Vegan lunch or dinner VIP experience which includes four drinks, an all you can eat vegan buffet, a guided brewery tour, tasting with the head brewer and a Bad Shepherd gift pack. Free entry is also available, giving guests an opportunity to choose their own vegan friendly beers and barbeque-inspired vegan food.
