More than 160 craft gins from Australian distillers as well as 33 craft distillers will be on show at the two-day festival, boasting botanicals and the latest innovations. The ICC’S gallery room will become a garden paradise, decked out with palm trees.
Participating distillers include The Farmers Wife, Martin Distillation Company, Newy Distillery, Distillery Botanica, Prohibition Liquor Co, Barossa distilling, Manly Spirits, Settlers Spirits, Ambleside Distillers and WA’s Giniversity.
Across three, 3-hour sessions, guests will be able to create G&Ts using new release Artisan tonics and world-class gins.
Mikey Enright’s Cocktail Masterclass will provide a gin history lesson and demonstration of classic bartending techniques on 5 September, while Cape Byron Distillery co-founder Eddie Brooke will offer an immersive lesson on how various forest botanicals contribute to the flavour profile of craft gins, including a hands-on cocktail making tutorial, at Brookies Gin Masterclass, also on 5 September.
Schibello Coffee will serve up free coffees and an array of dishes from cod croquettes to beef sliders, arancini balls, butter chicken and gin-cured Atlantic salmon will be available too.
