Chachi’s is the latest addition to Sydney’s north shore hospitality group, Firefly Group, which includes Firefly Neutral Bay and The Italian Willoughby.
The group is led by Daniel Sofo who said Chachi’s – located in Crows Nest – is more tongue in cheek than his other venues.
“Chachi's is a little rough around the edges, with a scattered array of quirky imagery and pink neon reminiscent of a chintzy 80’s joint. The layout is just like a mullet haircut with business up front and party out the back. There's an alfresco front terrace for power lunchers, then as you head further inside it's all dark corners, booths and neon. We're not doing the dive bar thing but no-one’s going to cry if you spill your beer on the floor either,” he said.
The drink list features seasonal spritzs and cocktails, including The Firefly Group's signature Rye’n Gosling Sour, garnished with a float of butterscotch popcorn. The craft beer selection is all Australian and the tap line-up rotates regularly.
The menu comprises mostly pizzas and pasta, as well as pork and fennel sausage rolls, Rangers Valley grass-fed Porterhouse steak, buttermilk free range chicken parma, truffle parmesan fries and Firefly's popular zucchini fries.
The venue’s second level can host 40 people at the bar and on banquette seating.
