The next generation of culinary talent is invited to apply for The 50 Best Restaurants Scholarship for a chance to win an internship at two of the world’s leading fine diners and a trip to Italy.
Global entries are open to chefs with less than three years of experience in a professional or equivalent kitchen from 17-31 March.
The scholarship returns this year after a brief hiatus. “We are thrilled to reintroduce the esteemed 50 Best Restaurants Scholarship for 2025,” says William Drew, director of content for 50 Best. “It is an initiative we have been eager to bring back and we are especially excited to collaborate with Parmigiano Reggiano, a brand that shares our commitment nurturing the next generation of aspiring chefs. We look forward to receiving applications from all over the world for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for someone to accelerate their career to new heights.”
To apply, applicants are required to create a short video and answer questions on their culinary philosophy, vision, and aspirations, which will be assessed by senior 50 Best representatives.
25 chefs will move to the next round, which will involve videoing the creation of a recipe using Parmigiano Reggiano. Five candidates will be selected for a final interview before three are chosen to experience The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards ceremony on 19 June, which is where the final winner will be announced.
The scholarship winner will be given the opportunity to stage at El Celler de Can Roca in Spain and another yet-to-be-announced restaurant. They will also receive financial assistant for living expenses in the host cities.
