After a tumultuous year of failed sales and store closures, Doughnut Time has re-emerged under new owner Peter Andros.
The Gold Coast fitness entrepreneur purchased the company from liquidators in June for an undisclosed amount.
Doughnut Time confirmed four new stores will launch across Queensland including outlets in The Myer Centre and Southbank in Brisbane which are now open.
A store in Burleigh Heads is slated to open its doors on 1 December along with a Coomera outlet which is set to launch before the end of 2018.
The dessert store chain says it will continue its roll-out across the country, confirming the opening of three Melbourne stores on Degraves Street, Fitzroy and Hawthorne. Sydney locations are planned for early 2019.
Andros says the brand will mostly remain familiar, but consumers can expect a slight menu refresh.
“We will be tweaking the quality and developing some fun new flavours,” he says. “We put a call out on our social media asking what flavours our customers wanted us to make and banoffee was the most requested.”
