The William Blue College of Hospitality Management at Torrens University will host the next Culinary Speaker Series (CSS) at its campus in The Rocks on 31 October from 11.45am until 12.45pm to inspire the next generation of leaders in hospitality.

The event will feature Kylie Ball, development programme director, Luke Mangan & Company as the lead panelist.

With more than 21 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, students at William Blue College of Hospitality Management will benefit from Ball’s expertise in running a fine dining restaurant.

Ball’s career highlights include working at 2-hatted restaurant Mezzaluna, nine years with the 3-hatted Quay restaurant, a general manager role with Bennelong at the Sydney Opera House and consultancy roles with Tourism Australia, including the internationally acclaimed Chefs’ Feast Dinner.

As director of program development with Luke Mangan & Company, giving back to the industry through a program created to inspire, educate, train and mentor people to enter, and progress, within the hospitality industry.

Ball will discuss her career experience as well as current trends within the culinary sector, while providing an open Q&A forum, giving students the chance to gain greater insight into potential future career directions from someone successfully working in the field.

The CSS is an ongoing event for William Blue College of Hospitality Management at Torrens University, bringing leaders from the industry onto campus where students can listen, learn and ask questions in a casual atmosphere. Students studying Culinary Management, Hospitality Management and Tourism Management attend the event.

The event will be held on Level 3, 1-5 Hickson Road, The Rocks.
