The program for the Canberra Times Good Food Month has been announced, and it’s the most diverse festival program the ACT has seen.

In a first for the nation’s capital, the 2016 program will host a line-up of feature events including a visit from NSW chef Matt Moran who will be hosting a garden party at Pialligo Estate (March 13), as well as an appearance by Ross Lusted, the chef behind the three-hatted Sydney restaurant The Bridge Room, who will host a dinner at Aubergine (March 18).

Moon Park will join forces with Temporada head chef Chris Darrah to host a Korean snack party (March 7), and brother chefs Sean (Monster) and Matt McConnell (Bar Lourinha) will come together for a lunch event at Monster (March 27).

Some of the ACT’s best establishments will be hosting events, including a seasonal dinner at Italian and Sons and Mezzalira (March 1), a paired dinner with wine experts Bryan Martin and Nick Stock at Bicicletta (March 10), a local wine dinner at Pulp Kitchen (March 15) and a sake bar at Lilotang.

The Canberra Times Good Food Month program has categories including Breakfast, Lunch (including Let’s Do Lunch), Dinner, Drinks and Experiences that will span from March 1-31. Also the Enlighten Night Noodle Markets will return from March 4-13 at Reconciliation Place.

Creative director Myffy Rigby, said “One of the greatest things about Canberra is its commitment to local talent, from chefs to winemakers to growers and providores.  And we’re excited to bring a bit of Sydney and Melbourne to the mix.”
