The 13th Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival, to be held on Saturday 21 March between 11am and 6pm, will be the biggest yet with extra street space allocated to cater for the event’s growing popularity.

Up to 250 beers and ciders will be available for tasting. Beer and cider food matching sessions, guest speakers and meet the brewers session will keep visitors busy. There’ll also be a range of dining options, entertainment and family activities also on the cards.

The expansion is the result of a grant from Australian Capital Territory Events and aims to attract more interstate visitors.

The event will now be staged in Batman Street and Gooreen Street (adjacent to Mercure Canberra).

Canberra’s rapidly emerging brewing scene will be reflected in the presence of BentSpoke Brewing Co., Capital Brewing Co, Jono’s Jerky and others. Interstate exhibitors will include Sydney Brewery, Lord Nelson Brewery, Grand Ridge Brewery, Pirate Life, Coopers, Mountain Goat Beer, Modus Operandi and James Squire. Specialist cideries such as Alpine Cider, Frank’s Cider and The Apple Thief will exhibit their ranges.

The Rural Fire Service and local cancer support group Rise Above are benefactors from the 2020 event.

Tickets are now available for $18 pre-purchase (via Moshtix) or $25 at the door (a booking fee applies).
