Select-your-own sushi and sashimi concept GetSashimi is opening a second store in Sydney after the success of its debut Bondi shopfront.
A two-level store in Coogee will launch to the public this Sunday in the heart of the picturesque location.
“Coogee was the best suburb that appeals to the family-friendly, health-conscious foodie where fresh sushi and sashimi meets the beach,” says Founder Antonio Muollo says.
The ground-floor store has been fitted out with a 10-metre bar that will be filled with more than 90 sushi and sashimi options prepared by itamae for customers to grab and go.
Meanwhile, the upstairs space has been dedicated to dine-in guests, with capacity for 50 people to enjoy their selections.
The store is celebrating its opening with special promotions during the day. Every purchase over $10 made between 11am-2pm will receive a free Melonhead juice, with a surprise present gifted to customers who make purchases over $10 between 2-5pm.
The store is located on Coogee Bay Road and will operate seven days a week from 11am until 9pm.
Muollo says there are more GetSashimi stores in the works, which will open in the coming year.
“As we continue to grow GetSashimi, we will be opening more stores and are looking towards a rapid expansion plan in early 2025 including the northern beaches suburbs of Sydney,” he says.
GetSashimi Coogee will operate seven days a week from 11am until 9pm.
