50 Best Discovery platform announces 500 new venues

50 Best has announced the addition of 500 new venues to its 50 Best Discovery platform.

The platform curates in-depth digital city guides showcasing the world’s best hospitality venues. New additions include 240 restaurants and 100 bars in cities around the globe. In total the platform now hosts more than 3700 hospitality establishments.

To be selected, the venues must receive a certain number of votes from ‘expert voting academies’ – comprised of 3000 academy members who are experts in their local restaurant, bar, and hotel scenes. Restaurant and bars cannot apply to be part of 50 Best Discovery.

On the 50 Best Discovery platform for the first time is the Dominican Republic with Santo Domingo restaurants Ajualä and MoriSoñando. Meanwhile, the US increased its already large presence, with the addition of 64 new venues and 14 new cities.

In Australia, Melbourne’s Bar Bellamy joins the list. It joins the likes of Bennelong, Gimlet, and Restaurant Botanic.

Sydney and Melbourne have the most Australian venues featured on the list, with 43 and 26 establishments respectively.
