Parkroyal Melbourne Airport has officially opened its doors, welcoming David Travers as its general manager. The opening marks the return of the Parkroyal brand to its birth city of Melbourne, where it was founded in 1962.
The 276-room hotel, rebranded from Hilton Melbourne Airport, is located at the doorstep of the domestic and international airport and links to the terminal by sky-bridge.
A transit hub for business travellers, the hotel comprises 16 meeting and function rooms on one level as well as restaurant and bar options.
Travers has over 20 years experience in the hotel industry, most recently as general manager of projects for Langham Hotels International Group.
