Chef Matthew Kemp has been named ambassador chef for Q Station Manly, assisting with the hotel’s culinary concept.
Kemp’s professional philosophy is to provide fresh, seasonal, quality food that offers something for everyone and he will translate this across Q Station’s culinary offerings in both its Boilerhouse Restaurant and events.
I am very excited to have joined the Q Station team, working to implement exciting new concepts, menus and ideas for Boilerhouse Restaurant as well as the weddings and events offerings,” said Kemp.
“The incredible atmosphere from the natural surroundings is well-complemented by the new culinary offerings and promises a unique dining experience.”
In May 2012 Kemp announced he was closing his Randwick restaurant, Montpellier Public House, just seven months after it opened in the same space as his former fine diner, Balzac. Kemp was soon after snapped up by The Keystone Group, where he works as executive chef to develop menus and work with the back of house teams at venues including Cargo Bar, Bungalow8, The Winery, Kit & Kaboodle and Gazebo Wine Garden.
