Sydney based hospitality group, Keystone has appointed Chris Morrison to the position of group wine director.

With over two decades experience working as a sommelier across both the UK and Australia, Morrison will bring a wealth of experience to the role. Throughout his career, Morrison has worked for international restaurateurs such as London’s Sir Terrance Conran together with some of Australia’s finest restaurants including Guillaume at Bennelong, Quay, est, MG Garage and Becasse. Morrison was also named the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide ‘Sommelier of the Year’ in 2006.  

In addition, Morrison has held ambassador roles at Pernod Richard and in 2012, assumed the role of Group Sommelier for Guillaume Brahimi’s Sydney, Melbourne and Perth restaurants. During his tenure he oversaw the commercial, creative and training aspects of the group wine program and was part of the leadership team that opened Guillaume in Paddington in August 2014, Brahimi’s new flagship restaurant.

“With the group’s expanding portfolio and increased focus on restaurants and the role wine plays within our business, we are really excited to have Chris on board,” says Anthony Prior, chief operating officer at The Keystone Group.

“He brings with him a wealth of diverse experience, credibility and the opportunity for the business to continue to be innovative in its wine programs. We look forward to welcoming him on board and to him settling into the role over the coming months.”

Morrison commenced his role on the 27th July, 2015.
