The Melbourne City Council will tomorrow unveil its new guidelines for the city’s outdoor cafes and restaurants.
The new Outdoor Café Guide updates the standards and conditions for Melbourne’s outdoor foodservice businesses operating in public spaces.
They will be unveiled by Lord Mayor John So and one of the city’s most high profile chefs, Guy Grossi.
Outdoor eating is a area that has undergone major growth in the past 20 years. There are more than 700 outdoor cafes in the City of Melbourne compared to just 60 in 1990.
