Queensland’s steak Restaurant, Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill has joined the national StreetSmart “Dine Out to Help” restaurant campaign to raise money for people who are homeless.

As a participating restaurant, from November 10 through to 24 December, Moo Moo diners will be asked to make a small donation of $2 per bill to StreetSmart.

All money raised will go directly to help charities in the local community. When Moo Moo opened three and a half years ago, one of the goals that owners Steven & Autumn Adams had was to make sure that Moo Moo embraced the local community and played a role in raising money for local charities.

Since opening, they have raised in excess of $40,000 for local charities through their monthly ladies lunches and StreetSmart is another way they can help out.

“The StreetSmart campaign was appealing, because it is a terrific and easy way to raise much needed money for those in need. Not only do our diners get to enjoy a fabulous meal, they can at the same time make a positive contribution to support the homeless,” Steven said.

StreetSmart is a bridge between the community and small, grassroots agencies that assist people experiencing homelessness. They support critical services and emergency aid as well as projects that promote social inclusion, empowerment and sustainable change for people who are homeless.

Moo Moo was recently named Queensland’s Best Steak Restaurant and the Gold Coast’s Best Steak Restaurant for the third year in a row.
