Restaurants back annual dine out for homeless campaign

Next week sees the launch of this year's DineSmart campaign that encourages people to eat out and raise money for the homeless at the same time.The ninth campaign from the StreetSmart organisation kicks off with the a launch event - Big Dine Out - that's asking some of Australia’s most noted business and community leaders to dine with friends, colleagues, staff and clients at one of the 200 participating DineSmart restaurants across Australia.
StreetSmart's chief executive officer Adam Robinson said The Big Dine Out on Monday night hopes to tap into the people already planning to dine out next week to eat for a cause by heading to one of the many restaurants that are again participating in this year's campaign.
An added bonus to this year's campaign is support from online restaurant booking service, Dimmi, which is providing a donation from each booking made through the StreetSmart website at DineSmart venues. Dimmi will donate $3 per person booked at participating DineSmart venues.
DineSmart is on from November 14 to December 24th wiith dining venues around Australia taking part by collect $2 per table to aid grass roots homeless projects close to their venues.
