Park Hyatt Sydney has created a specialty juice and smoothie menu, designed to provide travellers with a healthy breakfast option.

The Healthy Living range, available in Sydney from April 1st, was originally piloted in Moscow, Paris and Dubai but is now available in all Park Hyatt hotels. According to Lisa Phillips, marketing communications manager at Sydney's Park Hyatt, the drinks had been so popular in other hotels that Sydney had no choice but to introduce the new menu.

"The launch of the menu was driven by customer feedback. People are becoming more and more health conscious and our guests often get sick of having bulky breakfasts on the run," Phillips said. In reponse to this feedback, Park Hyatt teamed up with Brazilian nutritionist, Patricia Teixeira, to create a range of organic concoctions to target specific ailments that frequently affect travellers. The menu includes descriptions of the ingredients and their health benefits, as well as recommendations on the best time of the day to consume each selection.

The Healthy Living menu includes juices and smoothies such as the Anti-jet lag juice which contains kale, effective for detoxification, and pumpkin seeds, which assist in producing the body's sleep hormone - melatonin. Immune system juice is ideal if you have a cold or flu-like symptoms coming on. It includes orange, which is rich in vitamin C, pineapple, which has an anti-inflammatory effect, and ginger, which supports your immune system so you can fight the cold better. Digestion juice is prepared with high fibre fruits such as kiwi fruit and pineapple, which make food travel slowly through the digestive tract, enhancing the absorption of important nutrients.
