Canberra is the latest city to be targeted by noodle bar chain Wagamama.
The UK-originated company will open its doors on January 5 in Canberra at the $500m dining and leisure precinct at the Canberra Centre. The opening date had previously been set down as December 16 but it has been put back due to delays with the final stages of construction of the Centre.
Wagamama Australia’s ‘chief noodle’, Mark Rowland, says the “innovative design of the streetscape dining precinct at the Canberra Centre is a perfect fit for Wagamama.”
The restaurant seats 180 guests and will feature an open facing kitchen, bar, outdoor dining area and a private dining room for special occasions.
Wagamama Australia opened its first restaurant in 2002 and with the addition of Canberra, now operates thirteen restaurants in the capital cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. It was recently as one of Australia’s fastest growing companies by BRW magazine.
