Restaurant and bar Longrain has team up with the makers of New Zealand’s successful vodka brand 42 Below to bring its famous reputation for its stick drinks to the people.

Longrain is warming up winter with a series of cocktail school events called Mix it @ home beginning in Sydney and possibly on the agenda later for the Melbourne Longrain restaurant.

The classes will be hosted by Longrain’s bar manager, Jeremy Shipley, who’s also 42 Below Ambassador. Shipley says the classes are designed to strip back the myths of cocktail making and provide the tools and techniques to host the perfect cocktail party at home.

There will be four sessions open to a maximum of 10 people per class with tickets priced at $120.00 per person.

The sessions will be held July 15 and 29, and August 12 and 26 at 2pm. The price includes a ‘take-home' cocktail making kit including a cocktail shaker, muddler, two cocktail glasses, 500ml bottle of 42 Below Pure and a how-to-kit.
