Philip Johnson’s E’cco Bistro was named Restaurant of the Year while the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre picked up the award for Caterer of the Year at the Restaurant and Catering Queensland Brisbane Awards for Excellence.

E’cco Bistro also took home the award for Best Contemporary Australian Restaurant.

More than 500 members of the state’s hospitality industry gathered for the awards held at Brisbane’s Sofitel Hotel.

In other key awards Jellyfish Restaurant in the CBD got the nod as Best New Restaurant and also Best Specialty Cuisine Restaurant, while Best Fine Dining restaurant was Gianni’s Restaurant.
