New show from Masterchef creators
As the phenomenal juggernaut that is Masterchef begins ramping up on our screens once again, the company behind the runaway success is calling for chefs to be part of a new reality television show.

While the details are still under wraps the maker of Masterchef FremantleMedia Australia is now casting for the new series set to air later this year that will see qualified chefs compete in “Australia’s only professional cooking competition”.

The program will involve competitors battling for the prize — the chance to secure the role of head chef of Australia’s “hottest new restaurant”.

One of the clues is that the restaurant will be owned by an “icon of the Australian food industry, whose aim is to set a new benchmark for quality food in the country”, according to the casting company A Cast of Thousands.

The competition is open to qualified chefs currently working in the industry. You must also be an Australian citizen.
