THE range of Lift Off water-based stain removing products targets specific type of stains from water, oil and ink.
Invented by chemist, Gregg Motsenbocker, he found that stains can be divided into three categories according to their components and so developed three ranges of Lift Off to remove each type of stain:
The range is biodegradable and has no smells of solvents or ammonia. It can be used on any surface without damaging or degrading the surface or the environment.
Lift Off 1 removes water and protein-based stains such as coffee, fruit juice, red wine, blood, ice cream, ketchup and grass from surfaces such as carpet, fabric, clothes and furniture.
Lift Off 2 removes oil and petroleum-based stains such as oil, grease, labels, chewing gum and candle wax, all of which will disappear from areas such as metal, plastic, wood, glass (labels), hair (chewing gum), carpet and fabric.
Lift Off 3 removes ink and dye-based stains such as pen, nail polish, ink, graffiti and marker from clothes, carpet and hard surfaces.
Only a small amount of Lift Off is needed for stain removal. Spray the stain thoroughly with the appropriate Lift Off – wait 60 seconds – then wipe with a clean towel or soft cotton cloth or rinse off.
Lift Off is available nationally from variety stores. They come in 650 ml each ($19.95) and handy travel packs comprising Lift Off 1,2 and 3 in three 60 ml bottles for $12.
